Bright + Colorful New Year’s Eve Party
Happy New Year and welcome to 2017! Over the past few years, we’ve been hosting New Year’s Eve at our house, whether with friends or just me and my menfolk. Today, I’m sharing the crazy fruits of my labor…remember my inspiration board for our Bright and Colorful New Year’s Eve Party? The scrapbook paper was the perfect starting point!
I’m always up for using non-traditional colors when it comes to the holidays…normally black, white, gold and silver are synonymous with New Year’s Eve. With lots of pops of color, I brought it all together with lots of great elements you can use for your own party, anytime of the year!
- If you are looking for serious party bang for your buck, make paper chains! We made lots of them to hang over my existing decor to tie the look together.
- Nothing says NYE more than disco balls! Start building up your stash; find them at party supply stores, they are a great element you can use for any type of party.
- Pick up vintage-inspired clocks at thrift stores…they are great decor pieces to invest in as well.
- Can you believe I found our focal point balloon at Target? I love air-inflated balloons; no need for helium and they can be deflated and reused.
- Since we had dinner earlier in the evening, we kept it easy with a charcuterie tray and fun black and white cookies and sparkling cider and prosecco for toasting.
- Dress up drink bottles with scrapbook paper and serve with champagne flutes and paper straws.
- If you are using a bar cart, you can dress up the shelves with coordinating gift wrap paper. It’s one of my favorite ways to add a special touch.
- Yes, my glammed up mini pinatas from my Disco Churro Bar made an appearance.
- I set up mini hats and blowers so we could dress up and take a few silly photos of our evening.
- I fell in love with my gumball machine when I saw it at Hobby Lobby…I think I need one in traditional red too.
- Kisses at midnight are a must; fill a bowl with them as a great treat and decor.
We had a great time and I love putting together party fun for my family…aren’t they just lucky devils?
