Star Spangled Pretzel Rod Favors

Need a fun hostess gift or thank you favors for 4th of July? Of course, you’ve seen all kinds of patriotic-dipped pretzel rods. ย I’m going to make them even cuter and package them up for gift-giving as Star Spangled Pretzel Rod favors!

Perfect for patriotic gifting, Star Spangled Pretzel Rod Favors

As treats go, these are pretty easy to make…plus I’ve got a free 2″ label download for you to use!

What You’ll Need:

pretzel rods
5 1/2″ lidded cylinder containers – mine are from The TomKat Studio, but they are no longer available. Find similar ones here
patriotic sprinkles – mine are from The Bakers Party Shop
chocolate candy melts
2″ Thanks tags (download link below)
striped washi tape
sticker paper
2″ paper punch (optional)

  1. Carefully, with a serrated knife, trim the pretzel rods down to fit inside the container.
  2. Pour sprinkles onto a sheet of wax paper on a flat surface.
  3. Melt the chocolate candy melts according to the directions,ย  then dip the cut end of the pretzel rod into the chocolate; use a spoon or butter knife to spread the chocolate about halfway up the rod.
  4. Let excess melt drip off (if needed, scrap off as well), then carefully roll into sprinkles.
  5. Lay on another sheet of wax paper to cool and set.
  6. Click on image below to download and print Thanks tag on sticker paper. ย Please note this download is for personal use only.ย  When printing, be sure your printer’s page setting is on Actual Size not Size To Fit.
  7. Punch or hand cut tags; add pretzel rods to container, seal with washi tape and adhere tag.

Yes, I know…you won’t have time to get your hands on these nifty containers. ย That’s ok, pretzel rod bags will work as well; you can find them at any craft store in their candy-making section.

Have a wonderful holiday!
