Enjoy Summer Fruit Dining Alfresco

Ah…summertime! I love that we live in the Pacific NW, where fresh fruit and farms are everywhere! In fact, strawberry season is in full bloom and we love to head to our local spots where we pick them fresh. We practically live off fruit in the summer so keeping our produce around longer is a must.  Thanks to Rubbermaid^® FreshWorks™ containers, our summer bounty stays fresh longer so we can turn it into a fabulous salad and enjoy the gorgeous weather dining alfresco.

One of my favorite ways to enjoy summer is of course, outdoors with a bowl of fresh fruit.  Even better when it is topped with my favorite honey orange glaze! It has only 3 ingredients and is the perfect accompaniment.

• Set the scene with bursts of color by creating a runner of honeycomb balls and fruit.
• Save yourself the work with disposable party ware and ice cream cone bowls for serving fruit, double duty rocks!

• Fun accents like colorful straws and drink stirrers are a great way to add layers to your party table.
• Of course we had to have gummy watermelon candy!
• Balance out the sweets with soft pretzels and a variety of dips.  They are hardy enough and become a meal themselves.
