Perfect Chemistry Bridal Shower Tablescape
This is a sponsored post for Oriental Trading as part of their Blogger Community. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the products listed. As always, I don’t link to anything I wouldn’t personally recommend.
Ah, spring….the abundance of bridal showers for summer weddings is staggering.  As a bit of a geek, I think a science-themed bridal shower is the perfect inspiration for a spring shower.  With lots of natural elements and a simple Bloody Mary bar, it’s a great way to celebrate the bride to be and her special bond with her fiance…becoming each other’s lab partner in life.  OK, I will stop.
Oriental Trading has a fabulous selection of shower and wedding reception supplies and I love looking through their wares and finding other non-traditional supplies to mix and match for a lovely table.
OK, hang on for a little geekery…I was inspired by the skeletal formula, yes, remember those from your science days, used to represent organic compounds with hexagons.  Like any styled table, this tablescape leans on my secret tip of layering, layering, and more layering.  I always start with a base like a table cloth or in this case, our moss runners, and go from there.  Layers add visual interest and keep the eyes moving.
Since I already have several hexagon serving dishes and paper plates and lots of beakers and flasks, Â it was just a matter of a few more things needed to pull it all together. Â I wanted to keep to the whole organic theme with lots of natural elements like centerpieces made with kale and hydrangeas, infused water and tiny fruit tarts as nibblers to the main course.
Remember my Instagram sneak peek with my new hexagon punches? Â Using gold cardstock, they were perfect as table scatter and added a fun, reflective layer.

Check out the Shop The Look below to find a few of the items I used…the only difference is the moss runner I used from Oriental Trading is no longer available, so I included a substitute.
Are you working on a spring-themed event? I would love to hear what you all are up to!
