Fiesta Friday/Real Party – Big Hero 6 Movie Watching Party

Big Hero 6 Movie Watching Party

We loved Big Hero 6 and couldn’t wait to see it again when it came out on DVD.  Which of course, meant a movie watching party for the little one was in order.  I love our just-because get-togethers; the boys are getting older and letting me throw little parties for them is getting harder and harder.

Today was nothing crazy or complicated, just a few fun snacks, a couple of pre-movie crafts and bonding-friends-time.

Big Hero 6 Movie Watching Party; coloring masks
  • First, we colored these awesome super hero masks from Oriental Trading…after all, to quote The Incredibles, ‘Your identity is your most valuable possession. Protect it.’  Plus, they make awesome photo ops.

  • Then, we made marshmallow Baymax treats!  They had so much fun and tried so hard not to eat them.  I sent them home, way too much sugar to consume.  Head over to  Moms & Munchkins where I’m sharing the fun how-to.

  • I put together a simple treat table with a wrapping paper backdrop, tissue fans and rosettes.  Besides popcorn, we served ‘Honey Lemon’ade in plastic beakers and candy sushi made with Rice Krispie treats and Twinkies.
  • Of course we had to have red lollipops…if you’ve seen the movie you know why.  The kids got a big kick out of them, running around to each other saying ‘You have been a good boy. Have a lollipop!’
