Color Party – Black, White and Lemon All Over

black_white_yellow_tablescapeI was at Michael’s recently and totally scored a box of 30 black, white and yellow favor bags with black ribbon handles, marked down from $19.99 to $5.00 plus I used a 20% total purchase coupon. What do I need them for? I have no idea, but it was too good to pass up.

The color combo is just so hot, and I’m not alone with this train of thought. This dazzling tablescape comes courtesy of a preview of DIFFA‘s Dining By Design, via yumsugar.

Mix and match your own ideas with some from my Mellow Yellow post.

Create your own version of this tablescape with Social Couture’s Vine Side Plates (pictured below), add ‘Alsmeer Gold’ roses (or flower of your choice) to varying containers and use silver mirrored napkin rings.

Martha’s version, called Marigold and Pewter (of course) is set up as a brunch, more casual yet just as striking.

If you are having a large number of guests, take a cue from her as well and set up several cocktail stations.
