C’mon Barbie, Let’s Go…Drinking – How to Make a Just Wanna Have Fun Cocktail

If it were up to me, I would live Barbie’s life…sitting outside my dream house in a cute outfit, sipping cocktails all day. Talk about the perfect way to enjoy these summer days, backyard sipping with friends or hanging out at the pool.
With the new Barbie movie releasing tomorrow, I couldn’t resist jumping on the pink party wagon, although I’ve always been into Barbie. I was the proud owner of the first black Barbie; I mean, come on, she had the most banging red dress!
I am obsessed with my Dragon Glassware x Barbie Martini Glasses. They are a set of pink and magenta glasses with the signature Barbie branding in gold. No matter what you drink out of them, it will be fabulous. I’ve discovered the magic of elderflower liqueur and ginger beer cocktails, and this simple recipe is summer perfect, the Just Wanna Have Fun cocktail.
But what makes any drink over-the-top perfection, the cool garnish. I used my silicone rose mold to make floral ice cubes for my Rosé in the USA party. Of course, they are perfect for drinks.
The Just Wanna Have Fun cocktail

Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz elderflower liqueur
- 6 oz ginger beer I recommend Fever Tree
- 1 splash sweetened lime juice I recommend Rose's Sweetened Lime Juice
Instructions

Combine gin, elderflower liqueur, and lime juice to an ice-filled shaker

Pour into a martini glass

Add rose shaped ice cube to the glass

Top off with ginger beer, pouring slowly down the inside of the glass

Use a silicone rose mold to make floral ice cubes
Don’t forget a few nibbles; from heart-shaped macarons from Trader Joe’s to rock candy, you have to pair a pink cocktail with pink treats.
