2023 is just around the corner! We are heading out this year, but whether you are throwing an at-home bash or just with you and your partner, ring in the new year in style. Here are a few ideas to help create a glittery evening of fun.

Yes, holiday parties have an automatic theme, but it can be overwhelming for exactly ‘what’ you want to do. Generally, it helps to narrow your ideas down with an inspirational item. From a new party collection to a fun nutcracker, I find inspiration everywhere. This year, it was this tea towel from Waiting on Martha. I set the scene with a less-is-more approach with the metallic palette with a party banner from Paper Source, candles, and disco balls. You can scatter gold and silver ornaments, or use confetti.

I am not going to bore you with the details of the difference between Champagne, prosecco, cava, and other bubbles. Just remember all Champagne is sparkling wine, but not all sparkling wine is Champagne. What you serve is completely dependent on your budget and taste. Moรซt & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, and Dom Pรฉrignon are world-famous champagne houses but come with a price tag. Everyone else will range in pricing but there are tasty alternatives, especially if you need to stock up. For example, Taste of Home has a great lineup of bubbles under $20; LaMarca and Cupcake Vineyards are some of my faves for toasting.
Don’t have a stash of champagne flutes or coupe glasses, because why would you? Pick up a pack of plastic glasses, these coupes from Target are gold-glittered. And while a glass of bubbly on its own is fabulous, I love customizing your holiday sips with a little something special, with dried orange slices and rock candy sticks. Additionally, check out my other bubbly bar post for more add-in ideas.

A bubbly cocktail is another fun option. I am a huge fan of Rachel’s Ginger Beer; a splash of their Spicy Pineapple in a glass of bubbly is perfect.

No fancy food here, pretty and simple desserts are always a party win. Just pick up store-bought treats, then serve them on a platter or cake stand.
Don’t forget that music also sets the scene! Keep everyone moving with a hit playlist so they can be awake to toast the new year…

- 24 K Magic – Bruno Mars
- I Wanna Dance With Somebody – Whitney Houston
- Havana – Camila Cabello
