I do love my wrapping paper, but I love giving a gift within a gift even more! Deb Ivy, founder of Tiny Olive, grew up with this sentiment. Her family has made a tradition of wrapping Christmas gifts in reusable fabric bags made from scraps of leftover fabric. for over 30 years.
I was thrilled when Deb reached out to me about her company to share her fabulous reusable gift bags with my readers. She sent me the Maude Dot bags to have a little holiday gifting fun. All of the fabric bags have twill tape to tie up your gift into a neat, reusable package.
Although the bags are so cute on their own, you can dress them up for any occasion. From embellishing with the recipient’s name with fabric marker to cutting out felt and stitching on or using fabric glue for a monogram or holiday word, the possibilities are endless.
The best part, once you’ve given them as a gift wrap, they can be re-used for everything like travel bags, organizing cords and accessories or for everyday use in a handbag for keeping personal items in one spot, or your car’s treat and snack bag for the kids. Or just stash them away with your stockings and ornaments and start a new tradition of using fabric bags instead of wrapping paper.
I finally used the freezer paper stenciling method that I’ve been threatening to do for years with this great tutorial from Pretty Providence and broke out my chalkboard paint for the wine bag.
Now it is ready for a special message/recipient’s name and you have made your bottle of wine or champagne even classier. On the small bag, I used a a simple gift tag and ribbon; isn’t it the perfect holiday placecard? On the large bag, I tied on twill ribbon and jingle bells.
Aren’t these bags so fun! If you aren’t a tape and wrapping paper kind of person, Tiny Olive’s reusable gift bags are right up your alley. And guess what? Deb is graciously sending one of you the same Maude Dot bag set she sent me, two large, one medium, one small and one wine bag so you can start your own holiday gifting tradition in style. Plus, I’m throwing in a $25 Visa gift card so you can purchase supplies to embellish your bags or whatever holiday shopping you need to wrap (ba dum bum!) up.
- Small bag is 7โ x 9โ; fits items such as CDs, jewelry, sunglasses
- Medium bag is 10โ x 12โ; fits items such as books and picture frames

I have several family and friends that love wine and I will use them as a beautiful wrap for a Christmas gift for the special people in my life.
I would use them to gift to family members–brothers and sisters. I know they'd appreciate them and their reusability. Thanks.
I would use the bags for early under the tree gifts so I could save them and reuse next year.
I'll fill these with home baked goodies to take to friends when we visit.
I'd gift them to my close friends with baked treats in them.
I would gift them to my family with some sweet treats inside. creativitiesgalore@yahoo.com
I'd bake goodies and fill them with homemade fudge for each of my siblings since we can't afford gifts this year
