Tuesday Tip – 2015 Reebok Spartan Race Giveaway
This post is based strictly on my opinion. Others may have a different opinion or experience with the Reebok Spartan Race series. I was provided the giveaway item free of charge by the company or PR agency and I provided my honest opinion.
Last year I had the pleasure of learning about the Reebok Spartan Race series and with all the resolutions made about getting in shape for 2015, it felt perfect when they reached out to me again to share about all their new programs and host another giveaway.
Wait, you say, what is the Reebok Spartan Race?
If you have tried trail races, mud runs, tough mudder runs, or a warrior dash, then you are probably ready to step up to a Spartan Race obstacle course. It’s been voted the #1 obstacle race by Outside Magazine and focuses on building a healthy and active community of people. With events held worldwide, they are poised to take over the planet!
About the series:
Spartan Race is on a mission to get you active, healthy, excited about change, and return to our ancient roots where running through woods, getting dirty, and facing adversity was part of everyday life. Our events are all about challenging today’s perception of normal. Our events challenge the familiar, today’s perception of normal living and getting you out of your comfort zone!
At Spartan Race, we do this everyday and it shapes everything we do. Having experienced many different racing events, we wanted to make adventure racing more accessible to everyone, but do not be fooled by the word ‘accessible’, as our events have a challenge for everyone’s needs.
Spartan Race now introduces a level for everyone beginning with the entry level Spartan Sprint, intermediate level Super Spartan, the advanced Spartan Beast, and the ‘99.9% need not apply’ extreme level Death Race. Whatever your level, Spartan Race will test your strength, stamina, and sense of humor.
I know, aren’t you just jumping up and roaring right now?
Every Spartan Race has a Jr. and Varsity Spartan Kids Race to allow children to share in the thrill of an obstacle race. The Jr. Spartans obstacle course races for kids 4-8 are about a 1⁄2 mile and the 1 mile kids’ spartan races are for older “Varsity Spartans” aged 9-13.
Both kid races are filled with obstacle styles and amounts tailored just for them. How awesome would this be on your child’s to-do list? Not to mention general bad assery?
What can you look forward to this year? The new 2015 Spartan season pass has been released with lots of great perks; the 2015 World Championship Spartan Race is moving to Lake Tahoe, CEO and co-founder of the Spartan Race, Joe De Sena’s has a new podcast named “Spartan UP!” and the first ever Spartan Cruise is happening, going to the Bahamas in March. Can you image running a race on white, sandy beaches?
And today, we are going to get you half-way to those get-fit resolutions with an awesome giveaway! Enter to win an adult open heat (non-confirmed start time) in any 2015 Spartan Race in the continental US. That’s right, perfect for whether you want to start with a Spartan Sprint, get heavy with a Spartan Super, or go full Spartan Beast mode.
If you just can’t wait, here is an exclusive code for 10% off of any race…enter SPARTANBLOGGER at registration/checkout.
