End of Summer Tropical Vibes Party
I am not ready to let go of summer. It just flew by too fast! Just today, the kids went to their respective check-ins; I can’t believe I have an incoming high school freshman and an outgoing senior. Maybe that’s why I can’t let go…denial! A bright and vibrant end of summer Tropical Vibes party seems to be the way to go. It was easy to pull it together with just a few items, easy finds, as most summerware makes its way to the sale aisle.

I was inspired by these napkins from Target’s Dollar Spot section and paired with paper plates, an early summer find at Joanns, (find similar ones here) the rest came together with my existing decor items.

Streamer paper is the carnation of party supplies…no one want to use them. I don’t know why it gets a bum rap…it is a great, affordable way to add a backdrop to any space. With so man color options, you can match it to any decor. I used both metallic and crepe paper streamers to set the scene with a curtain of color.
Novelty shaped napkins are so the rage now. With so many options, you will be able to create a custom banner in no time. If you have sewing skills, sew them onto a coordinating ribbon. If you are like me, glittery mini clothespins and twine are just as fun. Mixing in various paper fans was a easy way to complete the look.
Easy entertaining always means having staples on hand, from paper goods and easy snacks, to decor items that can be reused for a multitude of occasions. My palm leaves have made an appearance at every tropical inspired shindig. Here, I used them as a table cover to add another themed layer to our setting.

Fill bowls with simple snacks like chips, candy and popcorn…or whatever you may have on hand.
Silly straws are always party perfect…DIY them or custom order if you can’t find exactly what you need. I found mine in a Michaels summer aisle.

I’m always looking for ways to jazz up bakery treats…with chocolate curls and fun sprinkles, it doesn’t take much. You all also know of my love of oven baked clay aka polymer clay and cookie cutters. Of course I had to make cake toppers.

Bright, cheery, and fun…and the perfect way to end the summer! How are you ending your summer days?
