The Trail Mix Bar You Need To Celebrate Star Wars Day (With Free Printables!)
It’s May 4th, May the Fourth Be With You, AKA Star Wars Day! How about putting together an outdoor movie night watching your favorite Star Wars movies and nibbling on Star Wars trail mix?

Of course, you can set this up indoors for a regular movie night as well. It’s all about changing up your movie night routine, especially during this time of our coronavirus crisis. Sure, it’s all about popcorn when it comes to movie watching but trail mix is a tasty way to mix things up (all pun intended), especially when it’s a DIY bar! It’s a fun way for everyone to personalize their mix and get the snacks ready before the movie starts!
What I especially love about putting together a trail mix is that you can use whatever snacks you have on hand! I only needed a couple of snack items, the majority of items I already had on hand.

Download my free snack labels to take your snack bar to the next level. I used a variety of mix-ins with a Star Wars twist on the names. I have included a blank version so you can personalize your choice of snack names.

So what all do we have?
- Lightsaber pretzel sticks
- Cloud City marshmallows
- Cloud City candy clouds
- Han Churros – Cinnamon Toast Crunch Churros cereal
- Dark Side mini chocolate chips
- Light Side white chocolate chips
- Edible Ewoks – mini graham cracker bears
- Chocolate Moons – Cocoa Puffs cereal
- C-3POpcorn – drizzled caramel popcorn (feel free to use regular popcorn)
- Shooting Stars – candy stars

You know I love a pun…Han Churros and C-3POpcorn? Come on, you have to let me have that giggle!

I love using crates to easily corral and carry our drink bottles and other tableware, including black and white treat bags and wipes for easy cleanup.

Finally, a few simple garlands and gold star scatter on the tabletop is all the decor we needed. I kept the color pallet to classic black and white, yellow and gold. The Star Wars universe has a variety of important colors you can use, from red and blue to green.

So yummy and so easy to put together! Notice, it doesn’t scream the movie theme, so you can use this set up for any space theme, or really, anytime it is time to head to a galaxy far, far away.
I hope you have been inspired for Star Wars Day and create a fun trail mix bar to celebrate with your family.
