Message for 21+ It’s finally summer and the perfect time to start mixing up some margaritas and make every day Taco Tuesday! I’m partnering with Cazadores Tequila to share how to take advantage of strawberry season with my Strawberry Champagne Margaritas. If you have never had a champagne margarita before, you are in for a treat. Pairing two perfect symbols of summer, strawberries and margaritas, they have just right amount of sweet and salty.
I love this twist on the classic margarita recipe, topping off with a healthy amount of champagne. Traditionally, mint is used with fruit pairings, but I wanted a fresh take and contrast the sweet strawberry with a hint of fresh cilantro. Paired with my favorite carne asada street tacos, as far as I’m concerned, this meal is perfect.
Strawberry Champagne Margaritas
Muddle the cilantro and strawberries, in a large glass or cocktail shaker. Add 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice, then stir in 2 ounces of Cazadores Tequila Reposado and 2 ounces of triple sec.
Add coarse salt to a shallow dish. Use a lime wedge to wet the edges of your margarita glass, then rim the edges with salt.
Fill your glass with crushed ice, then strain the strawberry margarita over the ice.
Top it off with a splash of sparkling wine. Garnish with a small strawberry and serve immediately.
