Shameless Promotion and Getting The Most For Your Buck (or $2.50)

I submitted my Mad Scientist’s Lab party to Birthday Party Ideas.com and placed as a runner-up for the January submissions! Some Harry Potter party beat me…yawn, so last year. Wait, didn’t it come out last year? I’m just kidding. It’s all about building up the portfolio, so that one day I can be just like HWTM….sigh. I want someone to come to my little blog and say “Here’s some money and a national magazine layout….go go go!”

So, enough about me. Run, run, run over to another site of fabulousness, Mix Mingle Glow, because look what she did with Target’s Dollar Spot stuff…and she’s going to make it a regular feature? Be still my beating heart.I live and breathe at Dollar Tree, and the dollar section in Michael’s; $1 birdhouses, got ‘um. What for? Don’t know yet. Gianormous plastic crayons and over sized rings? Check. Michael’s has an entire $1 line of Crayola products from paint-blot-shaped paper to notepads. Am I having a color party anytime soon? Probably not. But they were a $1. I am doing my part to stimulate the economy, thank you very much. It’s….the American way.
