Goosebumps 2 Inspired Halloween Charcuterie Board
This is a sponsored post; payment, trade and/or products have been received in exchange for promotion for Allied Integrated Marketing and as always, all opinions are my own.
With Halloween around the corner, a slew of movies are about to hit your movie screens. One of them is Sony Pictures’ Goosebumps 2 Haunted Halloween. In a small town on Halloween Night, two boys find a manuscript, in an abandoned house that was previously owned by R. L. Stine, called “Haunted Halloween.”
When they open it, they release Slappy who plans to create the Halloween Apocalypse with the help of his Halloween monster allies. Now, the boys must work to thwart Slappy’s plot before all is lost. Sounds like a great time? Well, why don’t we see it together?
My friends at Allied Integrated Marketing have invited me to host a free advanced screening. If you live in the Seattle area, you can come join us at Regal Thornton Place on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. Click here to download your free passes, while supplies last.
Of course, you know if I am doing a movie screening, there must be some movie watching fun. The movie’s tagline is The Candy Bites Back, so I couldn’t resist my favorite charcuterie board setup, but with a Halloween twist! Instead of bowls and platters, why not unwrap your candy and turn it into the presentation as a Halloween candy board?
I’ve done a sweet and salty version, so why not with lots of candy?
Head to your favorite candy spot and stock up on your favorite holiday sweets, especially the monster themed ones. I did sneak some other sweets in too. How could I resist Halloween Peeps and cookies?
You all know I love candy melts. If it doesn’t run, it gets dipped in candy melts. From chocolate Twinkies and bone shaped graham crackers getting a tasty makeover, while candy molds create brains, and Frankenstein heads.
My favorite scene from the Goosebumps 2 trailer, when my favorite treats, gummy bears, come to life and aren’t too sweet. I made my own candy melts version with their faces created with an food-safe marker.
How fun is this for some pre- or post-movie watching sugar rush! Even better, for a Halloween movie marathon! I hope you have been inspired!
