Girl Scout Cookie Season + Lemon-Ups Treat Box
Girl Scout Cookie Season is upon us! If you have not heard already, this year debuts their new cookie, Lemon-Ups. Since they are a lemon cookie, they have moved up to my second favorite cookie, where Samoas have top billing. So what would be more fun that creating a Lemon-Ups Treat Box?
The Lemon-Ups are the real inspiration, “a crispy lemon cookie baked with messages inspired by Girl Scout entrepreneurs.” And as entrepreneurs, the Girl Scout Cookie Program enables young women to learn essentials skills from money management, public speaking, and decision-making, which set them up for a lifetime of success. Don’t worry, all that money you spent in cookies stays local! Girl Scouts can use their earnings on awesome trips, outdoor adventures, and more. Talk about a powerful cookie!
So of course, I had to play around with them to celebrate the new release. I came across the perfect acrylic compartment tray; there is something about a little space for everything.
Springtime treats like Peeps and seasonal Hostess cupcakes are in full force now. It was easy to slice up lemon pound cake and twist yellow licorice into knots, a little nod to Girl Scout knot achievements.
It was easy to trim leafs from green cardstock to create food cards and layer the outside bottom of the tray with decorative paper.

Local cupcake magicians Trophy Cupcakes have released limited edition Lemon Up cupcakes, and they are soooo good!
They are a sturdy shortbread cookie so they make the perfect ice cream sandwich with vanilla or lemon ice cream.
