Fiesta Friday/Real Party – Super Dad! Father’s Day Shoot + Tablevogue Giveaway
Father’s Day is coming! What better way to celebrate the Super Dads in your life than with a Super Hero Luncheon! ย I thought it would be fun to style a fun party to inspire your own get-together and let my geek flag fly!
Once again, she of our LEGO party printables, SIMONEMadeIt, to the rescue! She has three Super Hero sets in her shop; traditional red, blue and yellow and the blue, pink, blue and yellow, and the green set I’m showcasing today. I’m also thrilled to be using my ย newest Tablevogue in black and hang in there to the end of the post for a chance to win one!
What does one serve at a Super Hero Luncheon? Why hero sandwiches of course…let guests create their own with a fun buffet!
Some super heroes like the Green Lantern have power rings, so Super Dads have onion power rings. ย I hope I’m not losing you with my geeky references…there are a lot…
Ok…here’s an easy one…Krytonite Jell-O.
Here’s another one…licorice lassos of truth…no? Hello! Wonder Woman!
Fruit Kapows instead of fruit kabobs…I know, right? I used theย pop art plate fromย yesterday’s sneak peek…
My favorite part are my ‘Clark Kent’ drink bottles, you know, since Superman is disguised as a mild mannered reporter? Yes, you are tickled…admit it!
When we went to Emerald City Comicon a few months ago, I scored on vintage comic books that I used the pages for to create the paper rosettes. ย And when I say ‘vintage’ I mean from the 80’s.ย Don’t worry, they were only a buck each.
How fun are these little lunch boxes from Michael’s? I filled them with gumballs for an easy party favor.
You know I have to throw in a craft. ย Adults and kids alike will want to create their own Super Heroes. ย Pick up a pack of ย cardstock paper dolls from your favorite craft store (I’m using Creatology’s Paper Shapes from Michael’s), and set out paper, felt and markers and watch the awesomeness.
I hope you are inspired! Dads don’t get special treatment very often and it’s always great to be recognized!
Now on to the giveaway! ย As I mentioned, I’ve a new Tablevogue…I have one in almost every every color now and use them every chance I get…if you take a peek back at my parties, you’ll see I have them in red and natural.
They turn ugly folding card tables and banquet tables into party ready fabness. ย I simply love the snug, tailored fit, so there will be no shifting. ย The best part? They won’t fade or shrink after laundering. Toss them in the dryer to knock out the wrinkles and you’re set. Seriously, who has time to iron a tablecloth before guests arrive? Plus, it can serve as extra storage; clean up before people show up is easy. Just shove everything underneath.
Angela from Tablevogue wants to hook you on them if you aren’t already, by offering one of my readers a 34″ Tablevogue in your choice of colors, white, natural, red or black. It’s sized to fit a standard card table. Just entered below on Rafflecopter…please note it’s only open to US residents since they only ship here in the US.

I would so love to have one of these for the many parties that I throw in my house! So great!
Very cool! I've never seen these before, but what a way to upgrade something simple as a card table. Great for brunches and get-togethers.
Okay, I absolutely LOVE that handcuff garland! (Is that kind of freaky of me?) Have a great weekend!
The clark kent drinking bottles CRACKED me up!
I would love this for our dinning room. We have a little table and the whole room is boring. This would help give it some flavor.
Thanks!

I like how they use them over a craft table (with storage underneath)… that would work about anywhere, hide some junk under my table and cover with a Tablevogue.

For some reason, your link to tablevogue wouldn't work for me…?
I would use this for holiday dinners. There is not enough room for food AND people at my table, so the food gets its own. I could use this to class up my dinner
