Fiesta Friday/Real Party – Simple Woodland-Themed Brunch For Fall

I think fall is my favorite season…between corn mazes, pumpkin picking, Halloween AND Thanksgiving, it’s my busiest time of year. So with that in mind, don’t be overwhelmed and miss easy ways to entertain. If nailing people down for Friday and Saturday nights is a scheduling beast, no one can say no to a Sunday morning fall brunch! ย And seriously, brunch is so easy to do.

ย How to throw a simple fall brunch

  • The smallest things can inspire a party; the Zoomerang woodland invite masks I picked up on clearance ages ago became my inspiration as the party banner.
  • I used burlap as a table covering but something woodsy like a plaid blanket works just as well.
  • No brunch is complete without an assortment of seasonal baked goods and fruit. At a local grocery store, ย I’ve just discovered the best thing since sliced bread…waffle-nuts. ย Yes, doughnuts that look like waffles.
  • Set out an assortment of cereals with scoops you can score on at your local party store. ย If you store your cereal ย in glass containers, feel free to use those containers, or apothecary jars or clear bowls.
  • Libations are important. ย If you are feeling particularly frisky, add on a Bloody Mary Bar. ย If you don’t own a few of these flip top bottles, you really should. ย They are perfect for classing up any beverage, and are plentiful at places like IKEA and World Market. ย In fact, my orange and tomato juice ones were previously lemonades bought at World Market just so I could keep the bottles. ย And yes, I just added on the stickers for easy labeling.
  • I have a stash of milk bottles but juice glasses or small tumblers fit the bill nicely. Many party stores carry a nice assortment of clear acrylic tumblers if you are hosting a large crowd.

And look at that…you have a pretty brunch set up and you didn’t have to cook or bake a thing!

  3. I'm in love with those flip top bottles. My grocery store used to sell the lemonade but stopped before I got on the bandwagon. I did find some great ones at Walmart. Now I have to find waffle nuts.
