Ah…the holidays are in full swing! Between the shopping, holiday events (between my two boys, I have 3(!!!) concerts to attend) and parties, I’m already tired just thinking about everything on my list. ย Today, we are scratching one thing off.
We’ve been talking all things Bloody Marys; first, this week’s Party Palette, Tuesdayย we metย The Drunken Tomato, and yesterday was 7 things every enthusiast needs!
Since I’m all about easy entertaining, especially during the holidays, a Bagels + Bloody Marys Christmasย Brunch is the perfect way to sidestep the stress of guests with schedules already packed with evening events. ย I was so excited when I attended The Drunken Tomato’s launch party, I just had to do my own holiday version.
With lots of great goodies from Oriental Trading and Modify Ink’s fully customisable Holiday Cheerย suite, I’m going to show you how to put together a casual yet fabulous affair. The best part? You will have more time outside the kitchen because your guests do most of the work customizing their bagels and cocktails!
- Head to your local bakery for a variety of bulk bagels…from asiago cheese and berry to chocolate chip, there will be something for everyone.
- Pick up assorted toppings like flavored cream cheeses, spreads like peanut butter and hazelnut and meats. ย You can even add spices and flavorings to butter for those who like to keep it simple
- Bloody Marys only need a base like tomato juice or mixer and vodka or gin. ย Of course, there are a gazillion ways to do this, from flavored spirits (you can infuse them yourself!) to a variety of mixers.
- The garnishes are up to you, from pickled and fresh vegetables to spices, cubed cheeses and dried meats. ย Even more awesome, they can go both ways and dress up your bagels too. ย Check out my How To Create A Bloody Mary Bar postย for even more garnish ideas.
- Getting the food together is half the battle, decorating is the other half. ย Modify Ink lets you customize your party suite and change colors and patterns to match your party palette perfectly!
- Their Holiday Cheerย suite has lots of great partyย elements to use, from the invite to tags to drink flags and garland. ย I loved playing around and changing everything to make my decor perfect.
- I love the greens the suite starts with and customized the suite with more red and navy accents. ย As a big fan of non-traditional holiday colors, I think mixing red and green with navy and mint gives the holiday feel without screaming it.
- My current obsession with stags has inspired the woodland theme, so of course I had to have these pillows from Oriental Trading.
Why yes, those are pinecone votive holders among tiny antler scatter and disco balls.
You can use the round paper tags as cupcake toppers, but I used them as table scatter instead. ย I just love table scatter…and the straw flags are a fun addition to any paper straw.
I hope you have been inspired with a little Holiday Cheerย to host your own Bagelsย + Bloody Marys brunch this holiday season!
