Unicorn Doughnut Valentine’s Day Party

Can you believe it’s almost Valentine’s Day? Unicorns are so popular right now, so imagine how thrilled I was to find awesome unicorn and doughnut wrapping paper. It screamed Unicorn and Doughnut Valentine’s Day party. With some help from my friends at Oriental Trading, let’s talk about how you can put together your own party.
Isn’t this paper amazing? I found it at HomeGoods of course. I’m addicted to finding beautiful wrapping paper there. With all the hearts on it, it is a perfect Valentine’s Day party backdrop.
- Layering tissue fans (which you can also find at Oriental Trading) and home made paper chains are a great way to complement the paper’s colors. I tried not to cover up all of the paper so you could see the unicorns, but it was hard.
- We dressed up our table with a sequin overlay from a local craft store, and generously added doughnut sprinkle confetti to the mix.
- Pink heart mylar balloons are another great inexpensive addition to your decor. I adhered the same sprinkle confetti to our balloons with double sided tape.
- Of course doughnuts are our featured sweet. I made a little sprinkle bar, so guests can frost their doughnuts and decorate them
- I turned these adorable unicorn rings into napkin rings, by just folding our doughnut party napkins and inserting into them.The napkin rings can be worn home as party favors.
- Serve strawberry milk in these adorable doughnut party cups, and serve with a white paper straw.
- Pink grapefruit gummy bears purchased in bulk, are a great coordinating treat for our table. Not to mention, I love gummy bears!
- You can never go wrong with Oreo cookies, especially the lemon filled ones. If you can find other themed cookies, feel free to use those as well.
- I was so excited to find these jumbo heart marshmallows. I turned them into conversation hearts, by writing on them with an edible marker.
- Aren’t these plush valentine unicorns the cutest? They even have hearts on their backside. They are another great take home guests can add to their treat bags.
- Speaking of which, these simply adorable unicorn valentine card holder bags are easy to put together with the kit from Oriental Trading. Invite guests to take the bag to school as a Valentine’s Day card holder!
