Tuesday Tutorial – Mini Unicorn PiƱatas
Yesterday’s Party Palette has us dreaming of unicorns in pretty pastels. I’ve had the idea of a rainbow unicorn party floating around in my head for awhile. Ā When I came across these unfinishedĀ piƱatas, the wheels started turning and envisioned them as the perfect place setting favor for the table as mini unicorn piƱatas.
Super fun, right? You can set out all the pieces and have guests decorate their ownĀ piƱatas, after all whoĀ doesn’t love fringe?
What You’ll Need:
mini donkey piƱatas – I found mine at Hobby Lobby; find onlineĀ here
small honeycomb pad in gold – also found at Hobby Lobby; find onlineĀ here
white tissue paper
OK…so it really shouldn’t be called a tutorial because it is so easy to do…
1. Ā Cut strips of folded in half tissue paper that are about 1 inch wide and fringe.
2.  Start at the bottom of the piñata, start layering the fringed strips of tissue paper one on top of each other, securing with double sided tape or adhesive
3. Once the piƱata is covered, create its horn by drawing a small cone shape using the honeycomb pad’s gummed edge as the center and cut out.
4. Ā Open the cone shape and adhere to create the horn. Ā Hot glue to the top of the unicorn’s head.
Magical fun for your table! Need more craft ideas? Check out my easy rainbow trinket tray and be sure to Ā tune in for Fiesta Friday for the full party table my new friends call their home…
