Tuesday Tutorial – Geometric Stitched Leaf Art
This month’s Whisker Graphics’ Design Team project is using some of the yummy colors from their new Diva Twine collection to welcome fall with a simple project perfect for mantel and countertop decorating; Geometric Stitched Leaf Art.
If you can push a needle through something that is not your finger, you have the craft skills for this….
Created with Diva Twine solids in Palos Verdes, Wheat and Lemonwood, first I drew simple leaf shapes on the back of the canvas.
Following the leaf shapes, I punched holes through the canvas with an embroidery needle, then stitched the border of each leaf with twine.
I stitched across each leaf for the ‘geometric’ look…and done!
