Tuesday Tip – Self-Serve Cocktail Bars

So, I’m up late wrapping presents, watching The Food Network for a little inspiration, and had the pleasure of catching Sandra Lee’s Semi-Homemade Holiday. Now, some people are a little bitter with her 70/30 concept, 70% store-bought, 30% fresh ingredients. That’s my kind of cooking. Hey, I know, Martha grows her own corn and grinds it into cornmeal for real cornbread, etc. etc. but who has that kind of time? I mean if I had a team, I would probably do that too.

As a lover of signature cocktails at parties, I wanted to mention how she starts her party with a clever self-serve cocktail bar that will get everyone in the holiday spirit. In the spotlight were three signature cocktails: a Mistletoe Mojito, Sugarplum Fairy Cocktail, and Polar Espresso. I’ve had a cocktail bar before, so I’m always excited to get new ideas. It’s a great way to save yourself the work, and have the guests choose their favorite drinks. Perfect for any type of event, just print up a drink menu, make sure you’ve plenty of supplies, and you’re set!
