Father’s Day is *this* weekend, so for those fathers and father figures, we are celebrating the superhero in your life. Let’s show that special person how much they are appreciated with an easy brunch set-up that even the little ones can help with, a few DIYs, and lots of love.

Today’s brunch is all about the simple setup; above all, it’s perfect for those waiting patiently for you to get everything ready!
Start with a layer of themed wrapping paper; red wrapping paper with stars or comic-book graphics is a great option.

Then, hit up your favorite floral spot for flowers in primary colors and greenery as filler. I used square and rectangle vases to mimic those tall buildings Superman leaps in a single bound.
Crafting tip: Take it to the next level and add black construction paper squares to the vases to look like windows.
It’s easy to set a fun table; don’t be afraid to mix and match paper and ceramicware. Sure, it’s alot of plates, we are setting the scene here, people! I layered paper plates with my own dinner dishes; after that, you can always remove what you aren’t going to use.

Make custom word table scatter with white polymer clay! I found this great cookie cutter set from Bakers Party Shop and planned to make cookies as cake toppers. As usual, I did not check the info and when my over 3″ cookie cutters showed up, plan A went out the window.
It became a happy accident; making stuff with oven-bake clay is my jam. Firstly, I rolled out the clay to a 1/8โณ thickness, cut the letters, and baked according to the package’s directions.ย Once the letters cooled, I used acrylic paint.
Crafting tip: Always lay a piece of wax or parchment paper on your baking sheet when using oven-bake clay. It keeps from contaminating your baking sheet and makes removal easy.

Finally, what you serve is as simple or complicated as you wish! I set up a little coffee bar, fruit and cake doughnuts, decorated with tinted frosting and sprinkles. I suggest Wilton gel icing colors or AmeriColor for tinting your frosting; the colors get deeper over time. If you tint your frosting the day before, you will have a vibrant batch, ready for use.
I know, you are wondering where my Batman mugs are from…no longer at H&M.

I hope you have been inspired for a superhero Father’s Day; fathers as our superheroes in many shapes and sizes โ dad, uncle, coach, stepparent, or mom!
