Palm Wonderful

My name is Dawn and I’m a plant killer. I have no plants in my home except for a succulent that I received for as a birthday gift in May and it is still alive. Having greenery is the best way to add color to a space but if you are like me and need an alternative to the real thing, nothing beats palm leaf inspired decor!

If you don’t want your home looking like Blanche Devereaux’s bedroom, use only one or two items so you don’t overpower the scene.

Entryway – Lend a tropical touch to your front or patio door.

Textiles – Incorporate pretty accents like pillows, ottomans, and shower curtains to add a fabulous pop of color and pattern.

Wall art – Make your walls green with envy by framing fabulous botanical prints or a large tapestry behind the bed.

Accessories – You can never have too many cute bags…spice up an outfit with a fun beach bag.

Lighting – A dark area could you a little light, whether it’s a floor lamp or lantern.

Tabletop – Afraid of committing to such a major design change? Keep it simple with pretty plates.
