It’s Halloweek: Witch Crafts
In fact, witches have been making a serious comeback over the years, from smash Broadway plays like Wicked to kicking monster booty on shows from Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Charmed to The Vampire Diaries. This fall, they are ruling on TVD’s spin-off The Originals and the latest witch dramas, American Horror Story: Coven and The Witches Of East End (which I just watched Sunday and love!). So of course, today’s Halloweek post is all witch crafts.
A few nods to the Wizard Of Oz…yard decorations from All You….
I’ll get you my pretty…and your little dog too! I turned soup containers into a clever favor idea.
Every witch worth her salt has lots of potion bottles on hand. Make your own with free labels from Pen N’ Paperflowers.
Many imitators but there is only one Martha Stewart paper bag broom favor.
Don’t forget my easy to make my treat cauldrons with Dollar Tree salsa bowls.
If you are looking for more elegant fare, head over and check out Somewhat Simple’s avocado wrapped in proscuitto.
How adorable are Dimple Prints’ Witches’ Brew drink bottles? All the paperware you see are courtesy of free printables she is sharing as part of her blog hop.
Speaking of drinks, don’t forget to check back at Sunday’s D.O.W. for this Witches’ Brew cocktail from Pillsbury.
One of my favorite party tricks for added ambiance is playing muted movies in the background (depending on your audience of course). Here are a few classics…
Practical Magic
Hocus Pocus
The Craft
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
The Witches Of Eastwick
The Blair Witch Project
Tune in tomorrow for reanimated ideas…
