An Advent Calendar For Grown-Ups
It’s December 1 and everyone is busting out cutesy advent calendars for their littles….so cute! My littles are big, so having one is not our thing. ย I’ve been chewing on the idea of an advent calendar for grown-ups and after a little inspiration at my local craft store…

Yes..24 days of nibbles, drinks, snacks and even chipotle sauce. Who says kids should have all the fun counting down to Christmas?

This would make a great hostess gift for counting down the 12 days of Christmas or a fun gift for that picky friend…they get a little gift every day!
I filled my clear wine box (found locally but you can find them online here) with a variety of adult-appropriate treats; some easily repackaged into clear bags, others from places like World Market or dollar spot of your favorite box store. ย You know it will be appreciated!

It was easy to print out numbers on a sheet of sticker paper and use a 1″ punch to make the advent stickers.
What’s inside? ย Here’s what I used to inspire your own advent calendar box!
- shelf-stable cheese
- apple cider packet wrapped with a cinnamon stick for garnish
- chocolate covered coffee beans
- mini bottle of whiskey
- gummy bears
- Ferrero Rocherย chocolates
- caramel popcorn
- tea bags
- macarons
- mini bottle of flavored syrup
- honey roasted peanuts
- wafer cookie
- meat stick
- chipotle sauce
- peppermint bark
- mini chocolates
- peppermint Twinkie
- mini can of tomato juice
- chocolate squares
- mixed nuts
- candy covered cookies
- Lindorย chocolate
- mini bottle of sriracha flavored vodka
- Chex mix
Of course, you can make yours accordingly…if they don’t drink alchol or have certain food allergies. You can also make one with non-food items!

Finish off with pretty ribbon and a gift topper…or in my case, one of my goodies that couldn’t fit inside the box.
I know…you are off to make your own! If you do, please come back and share! I would love to see your own version.
