Fiesta Friday – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Ideas
Last weekend, the boys and I went to an advance screening of the newest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie that opens today. As a kid in the 80’s, it was a must-see and I must admit, I was pleasantly suprised. Although how Shredder looks is a little creepy…no spoilers here. But he is voiced by Tony Shalhoub who I love, so that made it ok.
As a party theme, it will be making a comeback and will be hot on the party circuit, so if your little ninja has an upcoming birthday party, throwing a TMNT birthday party is a great choice. Birthday Express has a huge selection of party supplies, party favors, decor and even costumes!
Here are some ideas to inspire you…
Party Decor
Add to your TMNT themed party supplies with some pops of solid color such as blue, red or green. For a fun way to decorate the party table, you can use a TMNT table decorating kit.
Use colored crepe paper and googly eyes to turn lime green round paper lanterns into adorable party decorations!
The Munchies
Fill up TMNT themed cups or regular clear plastic cups with ice and green Gatorade and serves these cookies as a sweet treat.
Renaming food is always number one in my party book…check out the clever ways done at this party featured on the Hostess Blog.
Send Them Home With A Smile
Give each party guest a ninja mask upon arrival. You can easily create the masks using felt and elastic like these from Pebbles & Piggytails; they make the perfect take homes.
Fill up bags with lots of green goodies or use the turtles’ colors of red, purple, blue and orange for your favor palette. I love Oh Happy Day’s DIY dyed bags filled with fun.
