Entertain With PANTONE Colors For Spring 2018
Remember my last post on entertaining with the PANTONE Color of the Year, Ultra Violet? It isn’t the only hot color they track…today, I’m introducing the top twelve colors from PANTONE Spring 2018, perfect for spring and summer entertaining, weddings and home decor! Straight off the runway, they are beautiful in real life.
Straight from the horse’s mouth;
“The Spring 2018 palette encourages a sense of fun and playful release. With an air of complexity and distinctiveness, we find ourselves in a sanctuary of color that is ideal for some more unique and dramatic color mixing.”
Here are a few of my favorite ways to play with each of these color predictions….
Almost Mauve – This tone’s neutral color allows the accents in this dining room featured on House Beautiful to shine! Can you imagine how amazing this room would look with colorful party decorations?
Emperador – Step up your bar game and hold straws, drink stirrers and more with an American Walnut/Maple holding block from domino.
Chili Oil – Captured by Jennifer Oliphant and featured on Polka Dot Bride, this naked red velvet wedding cake is decorated with fresh fruit in tones of red- including Autumnal plums, cherries, grapes and fresh figs.
Cherry Tomato – Warm up butter, syrup and sauces in style with a Dansk Kobenstyle saucepan from Wayfair.
Blooming Dahlia – Oh, these ombre dipped chair drapes from a tropical destination wedding featured on Style Me Pretty are everything. Check out this tutorial to recreate the look!
Meadowlark – White Gun Powder sets a pretty scene with a bowl of yellow plums next to her Plum Cake….how pretty would this be on a buffet?
Lime Punch – Keep your entertaining plans, notes and ideas organized with Anthropologie’s ombre padfolio and pen set.
Arcadia – Sweet & Saucy Shop always bring their A-game to the party; rock candy takes this beautiful cake featured on 100 Layer Cakelet to sweet heights.
Little Boy Blue – This floral arrangement from a lovely baby shower featured on domino uses primary colors to create a simple, elegant showstopping centerpiece.
Pink Lavender and Spring Crocus – This tabletop from Dooby Design featured on Hostess with the Mostess has always been a favorite of mine. I loved how they used wrapped gifts in various shades as a high-impact, budget-friendly way to introduce a dramatic decor element.
Ultra Violet – An amazing balloon installation from Tremaine Ranch utilizes the Color of the Year with fabulous panache and eye-catching flair.
Do you have a favorite PANTONE spring color you want to use entertaining this season?
