Drink Of The Week – Nutcracker Sweet

Here we go, kicking off the Christmas season with a nod to the epitome of Christmas traditions, the Nutcracker Ballet. Recipe serves 1, courtesy of Cocktail Times. Come back for this week’s Fiesta Friday with my thoughts on how plan an entire party around this drink!

1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz amaretto
3/4 oz white cream de cacao
rimmer: chocolate syrup, crushed almonds, coconut
garnish: a maraschino cherry

1. Rim a martini glass in the chocolate syrup, then dip into the crushed almonds and coconut.
2. Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add vodka, amaretto and cream de cacao.
3. Shake and strain into the prepared martini glass, garnish with the maraschino cherry.
