Drink of the Week – Mulled Wine
I’m not a big wine drinker, but I hear this is really good! Recipe courtesy of All You – Dec. 26 issue
2 750 ml bottles red wine
1/3 cup sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
12 whole cloves
1/4 tsp. each ground nutmeg and allspice
1 orange and lemon, both cut into 1/4 inch slices
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, place over medium-low heat and bring mixture to a simmer. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, serve warm. Serves 8.
