Back To School Crafting With Duck Tape®
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walmart. All opinions are 100% mine.
We are big fans of Duck Tape® around these parts and I’m so excited about all the different patterns and colors it comes in. Sure, it’s awesome crafty goodness but I bet you never thought of using it for back to school crafting. If you are like me (read: cheap), I abhor buying supplies like folders and binders with fancy characters on them. You know they cost twice as much and will get destroyed the same way.
Instead, cover them with Duck Tape®! If you buy Duck Tape at Walmart, a 10 yard patterned roll is less than $6. That’s 30 feet of possibilities. Make book covers, cover binders, personalize pencils, trick out lunchboxes, if it doesn’t move, cover it in tape. Plus, it will reinforce the items and they will stand up better with wear and tear.
Need more inspiration? My oldest is in art class and needs a sketchbook and pencil case…so we picked up a roll and turned his old boring supplies from this…
Pause for the oh’s and ah’s…
The boy LOVES this monster graffiti pattern, it is right up his alley! I just added it to the sketchpad cover and wrapped the pencil box. I am not going to lie, it was a bit of a bear lining up the pattern, but totally worth it. He said it looks like something you would buy in the store and I totally agree!
So when you are out shopping for supplies, or later in the year when you need to replenish them, remember to add ‘buy Duck Tape® at Walmart‘ to your list. With licensed characters from Disney Mickey Mouse, Marvel Avengers, Despicable Me, sport teams and gasp…Justin Bieber to paint splatters, animal prints and more, there is something to make a little pretty for everyone!
