DIY Temporary Easter Tattoos

I don’t have any tattoos but my husband has several.  I keep promising to do something with my boys’ names or birthdates, but ICYMI getting one doesn’t feel too great.  Thus, I’m a big fan of easy-to-apply temporary tattoos, especially for Easter.  I heard this rumor you can buy tattoo paper and make your own…and that’s just what I did!

Make your own temporary Easter tattoos with my free download

You can create your own designs or you can click the image below to download my free Easter puns design! Please note this download is for personal use only.

You don’t need a fancy design printer to make them; in the past, the paper was only designed to be used by them.  Now, you can use your regular printer!  You just cut the designs out by hand.

What You’ll Need:

tattoo paper (I found mine locally at a big box craft store)
Easter puns printable (It is backwards on purpose!)
scissors
damp, clean sponge

DIY Temporary Easter Tattoos; cut out tattoos

  1. Print out the Easter puns printable on tattoo paper and adhere the clear liner according to package instructions.
  2. Cut out your tattoos; I like to cut close to the images so there’s not extra tattoo paper hanging around.  Before peeling off the tattoo’s clear liner, use a bone folder to rub the adhesive sheet onto the printed design.
  3. Carefully peel the clear liner off of the tattoo and place the adhesive side down onto the skin.
  4. Press and hold a damp, clean sponge over it for about 10-15 seconds or until the paper backing slides off easily.  I slowly pull the backing and check the tattoo was on the skin; if not, I would continue to dab the backing with the sponge until it did.

So much fun and perfect for adding to Easter baskets in a egg or two…and you know I’m a lover of puns!

Enjoy! If you make your own, please let me know with the #RevelandGlitterati tag, I would love to share!
