Valentine Treat Bags
I don’t know what happened to January but 2020 is flying by! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I haven’t made valentines in a few years but when I saw Damask Love’s new Valentine’s Day collection at Office Depot, the wheels started turning. You know I love a good pun, so I couldn’t wait to use the card set to create Valentine Treat Bags.
It is always amazing what one can find on Amazon. These resealable pouch bags are perfect for snack packaging and so easy to dress up.
I used 3 of the set’s card designs to share how versatile the bags are using dried lemon slices, gummy lips and fiery-inspired trail mix!
The cards were trimmed in half and attached to each card;
- Punch a hole in You’re My Main Squeeze to use a small brad on one side. Secure the other sides with double sided tape. Finish the bag with puffy heart stickers.
- I did a similar treatment on XOXO, except using two large brads, no need for tape. Finish the bag with some of the collection’s stickers.
- Punch holes on all sides of the Hot Stuff card and tie it to the bag with baker’s twine.
What does one do with sweetened, dried lemon slices, you may ask? Besides snacking, use them to decorate a lemon cake…cut a small wedge into one side of a slice to dress up the rim of a lemon-flavored cocktail or glass of iced tea…coarsely chop them and add them to a lemon scone or lemon pudding recipe.
I do love the versatility of trail mix. While we were out snack shopping, I was amazed at the number of spicy/sriracha options. Everyone has some fiery version of snacks.
Below, we have spicy sriracha peas, nacho flavored fish crackers, sriracha flavored almonds, flaming hot popcorn and hot chili pepper tortilla chips.
Such a fun collection, be sure to get your hands on it before it is all sold out!
I hope you are inspired by my Valentine Treat Bags; are you working on anything fun for Valentine’s Day?
