National Doughnut Day Party Hop - Picnic, White Russian, Doughnut Plates

National Doughnut Day is this Friday and to celebrate…because you all know I love doughnuts…I’ve brought 10 of my favorite and oh-so-talented party and lifestyle bloggers for a week long party blog hop bringing you crafts, parties and recipes everyday!

First it was our giveaway, and yesterday we kicked things off with 3 fabulous projects. Today we’re sharing 3 more, including my project…A Doughnut Picnic in the Park! I can’t think of a better way to spend a sunny day than with a picnic.

Our day out is about spoiling a special someone with sweets instead of you know, picnic food. Lay out a blanket and have fun quality time for a moms’ day out or a party for little ones.

If you don’t have a wood pallet in your life, you should! Whether yours is a salvage like mine or you have someone with mad skills and can build you one, get on it! It makes a perfect picnic table.
I did a twist on doughnuts by calling on my fabulous cookie baker, Amy’s Cakery, to create our super cute doughnut cookies.
Picnic food always has to be easy for portability and it was no different here; flavored milks and fruit travel well in coolers.
My favorite part was the mini cookies…how perfect did they fit on our bottles as toppers? That was a total coincidence! With a little washi tape and fun paper straws, it is easy to dress up even milk!
