Move over felt letter boards, the new kid on the block is magnetic!  The Type Set Co. has reimagined the traditional letter board and alphabet letters into a new hybrid of the magnetic letter board! And I am here for it…

Thoughtfully designed and created by husband-and-wife duo Ashley & Paul Jankowski, their magnetic chalkboards and whiteboards are versatile and effortlessly elegant.

Remember the classic plastic alphabet magnets? These are a modern upgrade of foam letters in clever offerings of serif and sans serif fonts, and lots of playful, modern color options to choose from.

Ashley graciously sent me a few items to play with. Everyone knows I love clever signage, and of course, a versatile letter board. Now I can combine my love of chalkboard and lack of lettering skills.

With your choice of old-school green to classic black and modern-hued navy for the chalkboards and standard white for whiteboards (duh!), both come in two sizes, 15″ square and Deluxe. The Deluxe board size is 17″ x 21″ and double-sided so you can store your letters on one side.

What I really love about these letter boards? They are well-made, a handmade product using natural materials. With a solid wood frame and coated steel surface built for the long haul, add in the family-friendly, soft magnetic letters for everyday fun.

It is hard to admit, I am a little neat freak with placing letters on a letter board. Getting them to all line up nicely is tricky. When your board is metal, they problem-solve with a typesetting tool magnet.
