Although the Barbie movie has Best Director and Actress snubs from the 2024 Oscars (boo…robbery!), she will always be number 1 in my heart. Celebrate all things Barbie with a fun game night out with your girls (Ken’s optional). It’s the perfect theme for any time of the year, especially Galentine’s Day…because every night is girls’ night!

This party is all things pink and disco ball, per my 2024 party predictions; as a result, I leaned way in! Read on for all the details…

I love to set the scene with a statement piece; this time around, I couldn’t resist with two, the pink and red striped tablecloth and the backdrop.

This was also the first time I’ve ever created a streamer backdrop. They are time-consuming, and with a serious learning curve, I spent time undoing things. I prefer to spend my party energy elsewhere, but with a little planning (and familiarity), it is worth the effort. This tutorial is a great start; working with a smaller area, I was able to then tweak it for my needs.

  • But who says you need a bar cart? Recreate this look with a square mirror tray…find a similar one at West Elm.
  • I love a fun garnish! As one of many movie nods, I carefully drilled a tiny hole in mini cowgirl hats, then skewered with marshmallow hearts.

  • Movie/game night is not complete without a popcorn bar! I popped fresh popcorn, drizzled with pink candy melts, and added themed sprinkles for a sweet version.
  • Also, I love my stovetop popper

  • No spoilers here, but there is a teatime scene. A Target Bullseye find, of course, pink glass teapots create the perfect floral arrangements. !
  • You can never go wrong with a kiss-shaped tray, especially when filled with cookies like Trader Joe’s macarons.
  • Jenny Cookies Bake Shop never ceases to amaze me; its Barbie sugar cookies were on point.
  • My favorite, the cake! Since it was already awesome in its pink and chocolate goodness, to bring it to Barbie perfection, I added the doll accessories and shoes.
  • The perfect game night prize, a Barbie convertible car filled with fun items. Sorry, the “B” bath bomb from their exclusive collab with Lush is no longer available, but it looks like the scrub is still available.

However, the Barbie Monopoly game was the real party inspiration…how fun are the game board, cards, and pieces? Don’t forget to have the movie playing in the background…and of course, the music!
