It’s time for this year’s What’s In My Easter Basket series…Easter baskets are not just for kids! Every day this week will bring lots of fun ideas that think outside the basket. Firstly, to kick things off, we are throwing it back…way back, back in time! Today’s Easter basket is the Throwback edition, lots of retro fun.
I love the idea of a grown-up Easter basket. Put your hair into a side pony, and settle in with your Hot Pocket and glass of Yoo-hoo. Here are a few ideas to inspire your own:
Who says your Easter basket has to actually be a basket? Set the scene with the classic throwback jelly bag from Shop Sweet Lulu. I couldn’t resist, I have 3 of them myself.
- Keep the flyaways at bay with metal mini claw clips from Altar’d State
- Remember pinning strands of embroidery floss to make friendship bracelets? Shortcut the work at Bracelets for Summer’s Etsy shop
- From water bottles to computer cases, cover them with retro stickers from RedBubble.
- Then, we throw it back with retro UNO cards at Target
- Totally breaking out my journal so I can write with my metallic Gelly Roll pens, also at Target
- Thanks to Uncommon Goods, you can cherish days gone by with this grown-up version of one of childhood’s greatest gadgets. Assemble snapshots of your favorite memories, then add them to your very own reel.
- Also at Uncommon Goods, made from reclaimed records, these coasters will hit it big with music lovers
- How awesome is the Super Mario Brothers heat-changing ceramic coffee mug from Amazon?
Tune in tomorrow and all week long for lots of fun Easter basket ideas and check out previous years.
