10 Party Trends for 2025
Happy New Year and welcome to 2025! Some of last yearโs hot party trends are still going strong. But, check out what I predict will be the hot 2025 party trends. As always, these are just suggestions. If there is a trend that you absolutely must have (I see you maximalist styling) and it works for you, by all means, carry on.

Anything Pantone Color of The Year
Anything PANTONE Color of the Year is always on the list. Let’s give a chocolatey 2025 welcome to this year’s Mocha Mousse; “…a warming, brown hue imbued with richness. It nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort.”
Such a sweet compliment from last year’s Peach Fuzz, Mocha Mousse pairs fabulously with just about any color. Be sure and check out PANTONE’s five amazing color palettes with Mocha Mousse. From florals to backdrops and fabulous ensembles, you will see chocolate everywhere, like Pottery Barn’s Rustic Lodge looks.

Court Sport
Court sports parties are going to rule in 2025. FYI, do not fight me, pickleball and tennis enthusiasts, the two should never meet. But, let’s face it, pickleball has been EVERYWHERE! Invented here in Washington State in 1965, it became the official state sport in 2022. I am going to be honest…I have lived here since 2004 and didn’t know states have an official sport.
Thanks to Challengers and Zendaya’s method dressing (starting a trend itself), tennis has also made a huge comeback. Check out The Bash’s pickleball and tennis party ideas, Mark & Graham has amazing gift ideas for the court sport lover in your life and My Mind’s Eye has the most fun pickleball party supplies.

Wellness-Focused Soirees
As a lifestyle priority, wellness parties will include elements that promote self-care. From spa-themed parties (I’ve hosted at our local LUSH Cosmetics) to private yoga classes like Bride Vibe Yoga for bachelorette and wedding day yoga, mindfulness soirees are becoming more popular. CBD-infused food and drinks are on the rise, like CBD brunches, where guests can interact and have an amazing and relaxed experience at your event.

Tech Integration
Over the past 5 years, we’ve watched technology come to the forefront of every aspect of our lives. 2025 will be no different, tech innovations will redefine how we entertain. Last year, I predicted that digital elements like drones and VR entertainment would reign supreme and will continue this year. From digital menus and automated cocktail mixers to smart speakers with a built-in light show that synchs to the music (hello, Karaoke Night!), tech-savvy audiences will be hungry for more.

Inclusive and Diverse Celebrations
Diversity and inclusion should always be at the forefront of party and event planning. Your event design should focus on creating environments to support diverse needs, cultural practices, and dietary preferences. From sensory-friendly areas to vegan and gluten-free menu options, make events more accessible and meaningful for everyone. I’ve attended events with sensory-friendly areas. They included coloring sheets and sand play stations, where taking a quiet break from the chaos is a universal benefit.

Cowgirl Era
It is the Year of Dolly…Dolly Parton that is. The Queen of Country has a new, banging cookbook, meal kits, a Duncan Hines line, party supplies, makeup, a themed rooftop restaurant, a 9 to 5 remake, and defended Beyonce’s version of Jolene. So of course, this southern charm will be the inspiration for many a party this year, yours included. From clothing, with Unique Vintage‘s homage, to bachelorette parties, check out my Rhinestone Rodeo post, for lots of cowgirl inspiration.

Aprรจs Ski
“Out-of-the-way mountainous venues will be the go-to travel destinations.” This year’s Pinterest Predicts lists Peak Travel as a big 2025 trend, and I agree! It is all about spending the day on the slopes, with fresh air and stunning views. ‘Aprรจs ski’ is the time after, unwinding and socializing in a sophisticated and comfortable setting. Think sipping hot toddies by a roaring fire.
The vibe is soft accents paired with rich wood tones. From Better Homes & Garden’s home decor tips (think chunky knits and faux fur) to fashion chic (think chunky knits and faux fur!), it is about embracing a mix of rustic lodge and quiet luxury. Check out Mark & Graham’s line, which includes fabulous entertaining finds, like a backgammon set and a shot ski!

Experiential Opportunities
Unfortunately, in a world of constant stimuli, it can be challenging to delight guests with a fun and memorable moment. The key is personalization and creating a deep connection they will remember for years. Most people only imagine large-scale events for experiential experiences. 2025 will see them utilized by all types of types of events. Classics like tarot card readers and aura photographers are still strong but carry the moment long after the event with vendors like a live painted portrait artist or a permanent jewelry artist. I still treasure my fashion caricaturist artwork from a book signing I attended years ago.

Hybrid Music
Plugging in your iPod for an event is, so early 00s. A curated playlist with live music or a DJ is the latest trend. It’s all about choosing songs that match your event theme and audience, otherwise known as setting the mood. We have all been in situations where bad music can break a party.
From upbeat tracks to energize the crowd to instrumental versions of popular songs for background music during meals, work with your vendor to arrange music songs in a logical flow. Build energy as the event progresses. A recent retirement had an amazing playlist during cocktail and dinner hour. They used music to signal the different parts of the event, and finished the evening with a local band.

Micro Parties
Size does matter when it comes to celebrations. There is a noticeable shift continuing toward smaller, more intimate gatherings. We seek more meaningful connections between our guests and the event and make environmentally conscious decisions. For example, micro weddings have smaller guest lists and footprints which reduces stress, cost, and logistics. This allows for more creativity with a unique or unconventional venue that can’t accommodate a large group. A beachside wedding at a local park, a rooftop soiree, or a local ice cream shop are perfect ways to bring a personal touch.
Are there any hot 2025 party trends you would like to try?
